Silk Painting
I wanted to do a silk painting that showed my love for books and nature. On the AP scale for this breadth work I would give my self a 3, although it may look good, it doesn't show mastery of the work, and I feel like I could have done better.

Concentration DONE :)
The central idea of my concentration revolves around the idea of a girls path to destruction then her resurrection back out of it. I mainly work with photography and try to stay photo pure, but I used photo editing programs to manipulate pictures and make them more unified. I picked this darker series because I struggled with depression in middle school and didn't have anyone to talk to. I want to show that depression is real thing a dark place, but there is a way out of it.

Beginning of Concentration
The central idea of my concentration revolves around the idea of a girls path to destruction then her resurrection back. I'm am mainly work with photography and try to stay photo pure, but I also use photo editing programs to manipulate pictures and make them more unified. I picked this darker series because I struggled with depression in middle school and didn't have anyone to talk to. I want to show that depression is real thing and people are lost. I want the viewer to question the preconceived notion of depression and see in in another way.

So because of the film festival this weekend, I decided to create a logo for my friends who created a film, and hopefully we will be doing more videos soon ;) I really like this, because it is so different from what I usually do. What do you think?

So to be honest I really don't like this at all. It was a good idea, I just don't know how to effectively use illustrater... :( Hopefully I can learn and try again.

Narrative Series
So this is my narrative series. I've spent a few days trying to perfect these images, some aren't as good as the others, but I'm still really proud of myself. I think this is going to continue to my concentration.

20 Layers
This is my 20 layer project. At first I wasn't sure how this project was going to work because I am not very strong in fine art, but I am really excited and happy with my work. Kyla said it kinda looked like a Scarlet Letter project and know I totally see it too.

Weekly Challenge 3
This week I had to find an amazing sunset and photograph it's effects on light without photographing the sky. So I took a photo of my friend holding my phone that has a picture of a sunset that I took this summer, and desaturated the entire image except for the screen.
I realized that although the first one is a really cool picture, that it doesn't really show effects on light. So here's the other photo that I think does a better job. It's a reflection of the sunset through a mirror.

Weekly Challenge 2
So for our second weekly challenge I decided to emulate Andy Warhol. He's one on my favorite artists, and in digital art 2 last year pop art was one of my favorite projects. This is one of my neighbors daughters, her name is Mackenzie and she's a kindergartner! Isn't she cute!? What do you think?

Weekly Challenge 1
This weeks weekly challenge was to envoke the color red without using it or writing it. I took a picture of a little kid bike that was in our art room and desaturated it. Then added some filters for effect.
Summer Work
These are my two favorite art works I produced over the summer. They are both taken in Haiti, where I stayed for 10 days working in a local school. The first one is off of the coast of where we stayed looking in to a dock. The second one was taken at an orphanage in Port Au Prince. The girls' name is Jaqunica, she was the only one who spoke Spanish and the only one I could communicate with. She translated for me, so I could tell the other kids who were there, why I have a metal leg, and that I was OK. She was amazing and really opened my eyes.
